A few words about me

I’m an instructional design manager with an educational and professional background in online/virtual learning. I have a strong background in online learning in higher education, training, and development. This includes onboarding faculty and staff to LMSs and other university-sponsored educational technologies, teaching graduate and undergraduate online courses, researching and teaching best practices in online learning, and educational technology and online learning assessment.

The main goal for all my projects is to create materials that are rooted in theory and best practice but also beautiful.

You can see examples of my work here.

Professional background

I currently work as an instructional design manager. In that role, I provide leadership and oversight to the instructional design efforts of our training center. This leadership includes: (a) creating, maintaining, and providing consultation on the curriculum design process, assuring that quality and best practice standards are met; (b) developing strategy, project managing, and providing design consultation/execution of online courses and other technology-based instruction, including website design and maintenance; and  (c) coordinate technology support team assigned to support online offerings.

In addition to my instructional design work, I have taught graduate and undergraduate courses at several universities and worked as an academic librarian. The majority of my work has involved online learning - as a designer, educator, and librarian.
